''Gold is one of America’s most iconoclastic scientists.''

                                Stephen Jay Gould

''Gold’s theories are always original, always important, and usually right.''

                                Freeman Dyson

''A maverick theory, infuriating to geologists… If Thomas Gold is right, most oil

and gas is not of biological origin, and there is more of it than geologists have

imagined.''

                                The Atlantic

''Professor Gold believes that primordial materials buried deep in the forming

Earth 4,500 million years ago, not just the plant and animal material, have

turned into oil and gas.''

                                 Daily Telegraph

''Gold’s view led him to predict rivers and seas of methane on the surface of

cold planets where organic life never existed. Gold passed away in July 2004, 6

months before the European Space Agency’s probe Huygens landed on Saturn’s

largest moon, the cold Titan (about -180 C degrees), and produced photos of the

rivers and seas of methane Gold had predicted.''

                                 E. Yantovsky et al., Zero Emissions Power Cycles, p. 10

In the past Tommy Gold had explained the nature of pulsars and solar flares,

coined the term magnetosphere, proved that the Earth’s poles change position

over the time, made new discoveries about the workings of the human inner ear,

and was the only scientist to predict that the Moon’s surface consists of dust.

We selected above all Professor Gold in our collection (or vision), rather due to

the controversy about the Moon’s surface: the scientists were enraged with his

usage of the term moon dust in reference to lunar regolith...
